Purpose

​

Provide calming and enjoyable activities for low-income senior citizens, in which they learn to paint with watercolors and acrylics and then use their artwork to design therapy puzzles and games for other seniors with dementia, Alzheimer’s and other cognitive disorders.

 

Senior Art Project

 

1. Photos to Art

KAPS staff convert color photos into black and white images. 

 

2. Painting Class

Seniors use watercolor and acrylic paint to colorize images.

 

3. Therapy Puzzle and Game Design

KAPS staff assist seniors in using their artwork to design therapy puzzles and games.
