Photos to Art

an FAAE Social Enterprise

The primary purpose of the social enterprise is to provide art-related activities for low-income seniors in small towns and rural areas while helping other seniors and students with cognitive disorders.

I will work with seniors at senior activity centers to complete the following activities:

1. Use watercolors to paint black and white copies of a set of photos provided by the instructor.

2. Transfer black and white copies of images provided by seniors to canvas tiles; then use acrylics to paint the tiles.

3. Convert copies of selected paintings into jigsaw puzzles or games for seniors with dementia or other cognitive disorders in nursing homes and assisted living facilities as well as cognitively impaired students in area pre-K and elementary schools.

All project materials, including paint sets, will be provided.
